EMAG EASYBOX ON MARS
Directing Choice

This is not a short film about Mars. It’s actually about the moment a child takes their first step away from home.

And I chose to treat a simple human moment as a full-scale cinematic journey.

The idea was to take something deeply familiar, a child’s first day of school, and experience it from the inside, as it truly feels.Overwhelming. Unknown. Like stepping onto another planet.

So I approached the film as a grounded sci-fi story, not as a metaphor, but as a real world in the eyes of the child.

Everything is taken seriously. The environment, the preparation, the departure. Because for her, it is real. The connection with the mother becomes the emotional core. Not through dialogue, but through presence, distance, and the need to stay connected.

The Easybox is not treated as a feature.
It becomes a bridge. A small, human solution inside a vast, unfamiliar world.

What interested me was not to reveal the metaphor too early, but to let the audience feel the journey first.

And only at the end, to understand it.
