ROM THE ROMANIAN FIX
Directing Choice

For this film, I chose to take a very simple idea and push it into a highly controlled cinematic experience.

The concept comes from a very specific Romanian instinct. Not to replace, but to fix. Not to consume, but to improvise. So the execution had to follow the same logic. I built the entire film as a continuous one take, where the camera moves forward and constantly discovers solutions that feel both absurd and perfectly natural. Nothing is hidden. The transitions are visible. The sets shift in front of us. The illusion is not about perfection, but about invention. The protagonist does not act. He owns the space. He guides us through it with confidence, irony and a sense that everything can be solved with whatever is at hand. What interested me was not to criticize consumerism, but to celebrate something stronger. The instinct to create value out of nothing. A mindset where limitations are not a problem, but the starting point of every idea.
